Kim Elton Gittel, 71

Kim Elton Gittel, 71, passed away Dec. 9, 2024. Kim was born June 29, 1953, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to Elton Gittel and Marie Thatcher (McEachern).

Growing up, Kim worked at Gittel's grocery and served in the United States Army. He was also employed by Kaiser Aluminum and then worked at Robideaux Motors as a car salesman. Kim finally found his calling by starting and running his own business. He has owned several very successful businesses over the years.

Kim was preceded in death by his father, Elton E. Gittel, who passed away in 2009; his mother, Marie L. Thatcher (McEachern), passed away in 1980; his sister, Judy Secaur, passed away in 2009. 

He is survived by his wife, Joannie; his brother, Mike (Bernice) McEachern; his cousin, Rick Gittel; his children, Brandi Gittel, Nancy Gittel and Heidi Gittel; and his grandchild, Alexis Gittel-Russell. A celebration of life will take place sometime this early summer. He will be missed by many.
