Karen M. Robinson, 85

Karen M. Robinson was born April 11, 1939, in Fargo, N.D., and was looking forward to joining her husband, Darrel, and daughter Diane in her final heavenly home. She got the desire of her heart Dec. 28, 2024. 

Karen and her husband, Darrel (Robby), owned and ran Robby’s Drive-In on Sherman Avenue in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for many years. Karen was an only child, adopted by Vi and Don Brown as an infant and was incredibly loved her entire life. Karen was born deaf and taught to read lips from across the street as a child, according to her mother, and could communicate as well as any hearing person could. 

She had a daughter, Diane, on July 1, 1962, who remained her only child. Karen was well-loved by her community, her family and the staff at Life Care Center for the remaining five years of her life. 

At 85 years old, she was ready to go home and is now feeling more joy than she has ever known and hearing the voices of her loved ones for the first time. She is survived by her two nieces, Sue and Sandi.  

Her final earthly resting place is in Forest Cemetery with her husband, daughter and other loved ones. Thank you, Jesus, for loving her peacefully and moving her to her eternal home.
