Common Ground Gospel Choir rehearsals begin Monday

Rehearsals for the Common Ground Gospel Choir start at 5 p.m. Monday.

Directed by acclaimed vocal coach and River Tech School of Performing Arts and Technology principal and founder Dan Hegelund, the choir offers a journey into the heart of gospel music, a celebration of faith and an embrace of God’s spirit through song. 

Hegelund has more than 30 years of experience directing choirs, including performing in the Presidential Palace of Kiev, Ukraine, the Latvian Cabinet, Leavenworth's 50th Christmas Lighting Festival and the televised talent show, "Clash of The Choirs."

Experience is not required. The choir is for teens and adults, beginners and professionals alike. Participation is free. The choir released a single in 2024 and is expected to release another song this spring.

Common Ground Gospel Choir rehearsals will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays at Sun City Church, 5073 E. 16th Ave., Post Falls. A questionnaire and enrollment form will be required for official registration.
