RATINGS: Report unbiased news

| January 1, 2025 1:00 AM

There was an interesting article in Friday’s paper, by the Associated Press, in how the viewers have dropped in CNN and MSNBC and increased with FOX. I’m sure if they had done their research a little better, they would have added NEWSMAX with FOX. Their explanation for the decrease was due to people’s lack of interest in political news, when in reality, it was due to their handling of the news.

It started eight years ago with the claim of Russian hoax against Trump. Remember how this was supported by the major news media? Then there was the subpoena by the FBI for Hillary’s phones. The FBI did not charge her and the press dropped the news about the subpoena.

Moving forward, it was estimated that 90% of news from the AP and networks was negative toward Trump. We later found out from his aides that from day one, Biden was considered as being not cognizant of his duties. Yet the news networks and the AP told us that he was sharp as a tack and able to serve four more years.

At this point people started to see that the news media couldn’t be trusted. What the AP and others need to do is report unbiased news. Remember Walter Cronkite? No one knew he leaned toward the Democrat party until the end of his career. We need more Walter Cronkites today.
