Hayden Mayor Alan Davis looks to 2025
There’s a lot in store for Hayden in 2025, and Mayor Alan Davis wants to meet it head-on.
Housing remains a top priority in Hayden as new neighborhoods are continuously in development to serve a growing population.
Davis plans to continue working with developers to better integrate parks and pathway systems into new subdivisions, while also protecting existing neighborhoods from higher-density development.
Another area of focus is affordable housing.
“I especially hope to see proposed projects that provide real home-buying opportunities for young people,” Davis said.
He said the biggest challenge Hayden will face in the new year is navigating an amicable dissolution of the Hayden Area Regional Sewer Board. This will move the utility’s oversight from the board to the city.
Davis also anticipates that 2025 will bring the completion of the Ramsey Road extension project, which will connect Ramsey Road with Lancaster Road.
As for “big picture” matters, Davis will continue to prioritize a positive relationship between Hayden residents and local officials.
“I am working with our staff to bring new ideas supporting government transparency and fostering community pride,” Davis said.
