GIVERS: Article warmed my heart
My heart was warmed by the Christmas Day Press article about Tim and John posing as homeless folks and then generously Blessing those who reached out to them in love.
I give to street panhandlers! Often, to the chastisement of my friends who quip, “they just buy drugs and alcohol with it,” as if this frees their conscience for refusing any demonstration of human kindness.
It makes me aware that many people are suffering and helps me stay humbled and grateful that I can help someone who may have simply fallen victim to unforeseen tragedy. Whether they helped bring it upon themselves is irrelevant to me. We all make mistakes.
Yes, some of them will use it for something negative, but others won’t.
I choose to Bless them as I can, knowing God will sort it out later.
Keep up the good work, Tim and John! At the celebration of His birth, what a perfect way to honor “The Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.”
