Timberlake Fire Protection District firefighters extinguished a BNSF locomotive fire Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to the intersection of Diagonal Road and Massif Road for a report of a BNSF locomotive on fire about 9 a.m. Engine 61 found fire coming from the engine compartment of the locomotive. Crews extinguished the fire in about an hour, according to the Timberlake Fire Protection District.
There were no injuries reported.
Spirit Lake Fire Protection District, Northern Lakes Fire Protection District and Selkirk Fire Rescue and EMS assisted at the incident.
