Teal, a sophomore, won the 98-pound championship at the Tri-State Invitational on Dec. 14, beating Mt. Spokane’s Maddox Taft 8-0 in the championship match at North Idaho College. “He’s been hammering guys and getting after it each day in the wrestling room,” said Lakeland coach Will Edelblute of Teal, who was fifth at state last year. “He had some confidence getting that medal at state last year, so he’s really out to a great start this year.”
