Two performances of "The Lion King Jr." Saturday at Mountain Lakes Bible Church
A newer program of CYT North Idaho, CYT LITE, will present two performances of "The Lion King Jr." on Saturday at Mountain Lakes Bible Church, 2215 N. Seventh St., Coeur d'Alene.
The 3 p.m. showing is sold out, but tickets are still available for the 6 p.m. play.
"The Lion King Jr." brings Disney’s animated classic to life as it follows the journey of young Simba, who learns about responsibility, friendship and the circle of life. Familiar songs including “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” provide the soundtrack to a heartwarming story of courage, identity and destiny.
Tickets are $12. All ages welcome.
CYT Lite was introduced in fall 2023 as a solution to the growing number of students wanting to participate. It offers a main stage production with fewer rehearsal days and four shows over the course of one weekend versus eight shows over two weekends. CYT Lite does not participate in weekday school performances.
