POLITICIANS: They don’t listen

I read two letters in The Press on Feb. 12. One was entitled CITIZEN VOICES: Call your representatives and the other LETTER RESPONSE: Conservatives welcome anyone.

Well, I have called and sent letters and emails to my representatives. I get back “Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns…” As far as welcoming anyone — not true. I will discuss their views and why they hold them but that does not mean that I welcome them. The letter that starts in the heading Citizen Voices goes on to say that the richest man in the world will solve all of my problems. HMM, Why am I not working on this myself? Why do we count on others to solve our problems? We in many cases created the problem so we should figure out the solution.

The problem with education will not be solved by throwing more money at it — that has been proven over the years.

Money does not solve all problems. Rich people and politicians do not listen so why not write a proposal for something that the people need and submit it to the legislature?
