Women of Distinction to be honored Feb. 22

Soroptimist (Best for Women) International of Coeur d’Alene will celebrate its 2025 Women of Distinction during the Dream Builder Brunch at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 22 at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls.

Chartered in 1948 as the first civic service group for women, Soroptimist works to better the lives of women and girls in the local community. The organization annually awards scholarships to our Live Your Dream winners and hosts a Dream It, Be It mentor program for girls 14 to 17.

Soroptimist also annually presents Women of Distinction awards to women whose achievements and dedication to community service set them apart. This year Soroptimist will celebrate the 43rd year of awards!

Soroptimist 2025 winners are:

Arts and Culture – Jennifer Drake, Crown and Thistle/former Coeur d'Alene Arts Commission member

Business and Professional – Katherine Colye, Coyle and Eyman Elder Law

Community Service – Gayle Stegmann, Stegmann Farms

Education – Victoria Sanford, Lake City High School

Health – Karmen Gregg, Selkirk Women's Health

Public Service – Tina Botai with East Side Fire District

Second Act (Senior) – Valerie Wilcox, retired from the Post Falls Chamber
