Gonzaga's Ike, Nembhard named to Naismith Midseason Team

ATLANTA — Gonzaga’s Graham Ike and Ryan Nembhard are on the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Men's College Player of the Year Midseason Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Friday.

Ike and Nembhard are two of the 30 players named to the team as contenders for the award, annually given to the nation’s top player. 

They form one of just five teammate duos, alongside pairs from Tennessee (Chaz Lanier and Zakai Zeigler), Iowa State (Keshon Gilbert and Curtis Jones), Purdue (Trey Kaufman-Renn and Braden Smith) and Rutgers (Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper).

The 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Trophy will be announced in mid-March.
