Post Falls Police investigating early Friday morning shooting

POST FALLS — Post Falls Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting that happened on the 2500 block of Woodcrest Drive early Friday.

Officers arrived on the scene within two minutes of receiving the 911 call and detained the involved party without further incident, according to a press release from PFPD. 

The gunshot victim was transported to Kootenai Health, police said.

An investigation continues.

"No arrests have been made at this time," the release said. "There is no threat to the public."
