Ellen 'Lefty' Schultz Langston, 92
Ellen "Lefty" of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Jan. 31, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Lefty was born Nov. 13, 1932, to Hank and Iona Schultz in Tama, Iowa.
The family moved to the Rathdrum area in 1936 and raised their seven children there. Lefty attended Rathdrum Elementary School and Rathdrum High School Class of 1949-50 and was a member of the Methodist Church in Rathdrum.
Lefty is survived by three children: Rick Frazey (Karen) of Crawfordville, Fla.; Randy Frazey of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Pam Frazey Cashin (Mike) of Winter Park, Fla. Lefty has three grandchildren: Dana Loncar (Steve), Brian Cashin (Stephanie) and Allen Cashin (Catherine), and six granddaughters: Sophia, Cate, April, Hillary, Avery and Alyvia.
In retirement, Lefty enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, and a passion for the outdoors. The most exciting fishing trip was catching a salmon on Lake Coeur d'Alene weighing in at 34 pounds. She continued her love of fishing in the Gulf of Mexico catching grouper and redfish and returning home to cook her fresh catch of the day. Lefty was known for her fierce competitive spirit in cornhole games and card games.
