BRIDGES: Another headache for the new administration

The former administration and Congress has left President Trump another headache for him to deal with in the near future. That being, is the poor condition of our bridges.
The person assigned to the responsibility of the condition of our bridges was Pete Buttigieg and Congress. Some 42,400 bridges in the U.S. carrying about 167 million vehicles each day have been judged to be in poor condition by the Department of Transportation. More than 15,800 of them were also in poor condition a decade ago. As reported by the Associated Press.
This begs the question, where did all the funding by taxpayers go to address the problem, if any?
