PREP WRESTLING: Mosman closes out another dual win for Lake City
COEUR d’ALENE — Lake City coach Corey Owen has all the confidence in the world in senior Sebastian Mosman right now.
So, when the dual against the visiting Lewiston Bengals came down to Mosman — the second time this week — it was almost a perfect cap to his final home dual on senior night
Mosman beat Lewiston’s King Rhodes by a 5-3 decision to claim a 43-42 win over the Bengals at Lake City High on Friday.
“I just told him ‘it’s your night buddy,’” Owen said. “Once the Lewiston coach and I agreed to end at heavyweights, I had complete confidence in him. Sebastian is at a different level right now and tough to beat. That Lewiston coach is really good too, but once their coach said let’s end it there, I thought it was perfect because Sebastian’s been so consistent and solid.”
Nathan Booth got a pin at 175 for Lake City, which also had a pin by junior James Vincent at 215 to pull the team within striking distance.
“For both Nathan and James, they both needed a pin, or we wouldn’t have won,” Owen said. “But they got the job done. They were just great tonight.”
Lake City faces Moscow on Wednesday at Coeur d’Alene High.
