Medical emergency leads to wrong-way driving incident on I-90 in Post Falls

POST FALLS — Idaho State Police and Post Falls Police Department responded to a wrong-way driver traveling on I-90 on Friday. 

According to a release from ISP, a red Honda Ridgeline was traveling west bound on the east bound shoulder of I-90. The vehicle then slid down an embankment near Milepost 2 and came to rest. 

Law enforcement requested medical personnel after arriving on scene and finding that the driver was experiencing a medical emergency. The driver was transported to an area hospital via ambulance. 

Alcohol was not a factor in this incident, the release said.
