Sons of Norway Coeur d’Alene to host craft fair

Sons of Norway Harald Haarfager Lodge in Coeur d’Alene will host a craft and culture fair at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. Fifth St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

It will feature vendors, demonstrations, music and Norwegian food items such as Norwegian waffles and Viking on a Stick, a special blend of meats and spices, batter dipped and deep fried.

Craft demonstrations will include wood chip carving, folk painting and yarn spinning. 

Entertainment will include lefse making at 10:30, Angus Scott Bagpipe band at 11:30, and the Omak Creek Singers on drums at 12:30.

“This is an event we host as a gift to our community,” said Dave McManus, current lodge president.
