FULCHER: Need to have access to our representatives

| August 6, 2025 1:00 AM

Congressman Russell Fulcher, when I joined other Coeur d’Alene residents at a pre-planned event in front of your office recently, I found that your office was closed with a well-used sign on the door saying you were “out in the field,” whatever that means. No one in the group that day that I spoke to had ever found you there. I find myself wondering if you ever have been there and why taxpayers, I assume, are paying for your office. How can you actually know how we wish you to support us if you do not come here in person?

In order that you might demonstrate your sincere desire to truly represent our concerns in Congress as well as stand behind your voting record, it is high time you come to Coeur d’Alene for a town hall during this recess. So far you have shown that you will only vote with the Republican block in Congress and in line with Trump’s self-serving agenda, even when that does not serve the majority of people of this community nor this country and has caused a great deal of chaos, confusion and harm. We have the right to see you face to face and hear what you have to say. I am requesting and expecting you to let me know when you will be coming to Coeur d’Alene. I request as well that you advise the appropriate Republican and Democratic entities in our community of your upcoming visit. In this difficult time we need to have access to our representatives!
