MUSEUM: Many hands were involved
Adventure at the museum, where to start?
I was given all the credit for painting the museum in a Press article a while back. However flattered I was, it wasn’t quite correct.
First off, Britt and Annette bring out the best in people. Aaron Gabriel of Big Tree Construction gave me the use of three outstanding young men: Rob Andrews, Steve Horn and Ryan Young, honest hardworking young men. I don’t have much use for modern sissy boys thinking they are men, but those three make me proud to be an American.
Mallory Paint and Benjamin Moore Paints with all their support; the staff at Mallory Paint was better to the museum than they will ever know. We are lucky to have a store like that. Their staff is amazing.
Well, I had the time to pitch in and do something that I felt was a positive for the city and county and I hope the school kids get good use of it. The ladies mentioned above were all in and did the impossible. All on donations. The ladies are incredible. They have all my respect. The museum is about as gorgeous as it could possibly be. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.
Again, it wasn’t just me. I had plenty of help and support in this adventure.
Best wishes to the museum.
