DEMOCRATS: Focus on your own house
When reading Evan Koch’s Opinion piece, one might think the nation has suddenly stopped following the rule of law. He suggests people are being picked up as they walk to the immigration court. He wonders why a person was unable to express their opinion in a Town Hall meeting. In short he wants a government to follow the Constitution. Finally, he’s said something I can agree with. I just wonder where his outrage was when the previous administration was shredding through the Constitution like it was last week’s grocery ad.
He seems to have forgotten the reason the immigration courts are busy is because the Biden administration ignored the 8 US Code 1325, Improper Entry by Alien, yet kept telling us the border was secure (to the tune of about 20 million illegal entries). He apparently wasn’t concerned when the Biden White House pressured Facebook to censor content it didn’t approve of. But hey, trying to remove a disruptive person from a Town Hall meeting who was repeatedly asked to be respectful or leave is way more concerning than forcing a social media platform to censor free speech.
Then there’s the shenanigans Biden played with the DOJ. Why would there be problem with throwing the weight of the DOJ against your opposition. Obviously all’s fair in politics as long as it’s your opponent being persecuted — oops I mean prosecuted. And that’s not even addressing Ukraine and China paying “the Big Guy,” the Laptop coverup, ignoring the Supreme Court’s ruling on student loans or pretending he was mentally fit. Mr. Koch might want to focus on his house, before worrying about someone else’s.
