'Sid' the Green Energy Dragon breathes fire tonight

The dedication of "Sid" the Green Energy Dragon is at 7:30 p.m. at the Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility along the Centennial Trail, 1080 Hubbard Ave.

Coeur d'Alene Councilor Amy Evans will emcee the event, with Mayor Woody McEvers sharing remarks about the sculpture's namesake, Haldo Sidney "Sid" Frederickson IV.

Artist Melissa Cole will explain how "Sid" was designed to be both eye-catching and educational. Poet laureate Jennifer Passaro will present a poem written for the occasion.

The public is welcome.
