Richard Gary Williams, 92
Richard “Gary” Williams, 92, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Military honors will be held at Miller Woodlawn Cemetery in Bremerton, Wash.
Gary was born July 27, 1932, in Vancouver, Wash., to Frank and Berta Williams. He grew up in Wenatchee, Yakima and Port Orchard. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he retired after a 20-year career.
Gary married Barbara Thompson in 1964. After retiring from the Air Force, Gary lived in Bremerton, Wash., where he worked as a real estate agent for 30-plus years.
His wife, Barbara, passed away in 1994, and Gary married Rosie McCombs. He cherished his wife, Rosie, and their bond was a source of strength and happiness for both of them. They moved to Post Falls, Idaho, in 2005. Gary was active in several bowling leagues and enjoyed bowling, boxing, yard work, Seattle Mariners baseball and annual salmon fishing trips to Alaska.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Williams of Post Falls; two sons, Tim Williams of Silverdale, Wash., and Darren Williams of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Tia Williams of Post Falls; seven grandchildren, Justin Williams, Ayla Foote, Jessica Jones, Zack Williams, Ali Walker, Shawn Boggess and Amiya Williams, along with six great-grandchildren Remi Williams, Jocelyn Jones, Evelyn Foote, Emma Jones, Griffin Williams and Wyatt Jones. He is survived by his brother, Lynn Williams of Port Orchard, Wash. He had an unconditional love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Hal, Wayne and George.
