Former Post Falls player Magnuson signs with Eastern Washington

CHENEY — Eastern Washington women's basketball coach Joddie Gleason announced the signing of three players, including Brielle Magnuson, who played two seasons at Post Falls High before finishing her high school career at Rocky Mountain High in Meridian.

Magnuson, a 5-foot-11 guard, played the past two seasons at Walla Walla Community College. In the ‘25 season, Brielle was named the All-Region MVP and NWAC Tournament MVP. She earned NWAC Freshman of the Year honors, averaging 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Walla Walla won the NWAC Championship this past season with Magnuson averaging 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds. In two NWAC Tournament appearances, Brielle averaged 22.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. During the 2023-24 season, Brielle won the President’s Cup.

At Rocky Mountain, Magnuson earned first team honors as a senior (2023) and second team as a junior (2022). Rocky Mountain qualified for the state tournament each season of Brielle’s career, advancing to the state championship game her senior season.

While attending Eastern, Brielle plans on majoring in business and wants to pursue a career as a medical device sales representative.

“Bri brings a winning pedigree to us from Walla Walla and will provide scoring and rebounding at the wing/forward position," Gleason said in a news release. "She has filled up the stat sheet in the NWAC the past two seasons and will make an immediate impact for us. Bri loves to compete and finds a way to do whatever is necessary to help her team win. That competitive fire is contagious, and we are eager to have her on campus soon!“

Gleason also announced the signing of Emma Myers, a 5-11 guard from Ridgeline High in Liberty Lake; and Caitie Gingras, a 5-9 guard who played the past two seasons at Cal State Bakersfield.
