ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of Kellogg, Idaho Kellogg Sustainable Stormwater Improvements – Phase 2 The City of Kellogg (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Kellogg Sustainable Stormwater Improvements – Phase 2 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the City of Kellogg at 1007 McKinley Avenue, Kellogg, ID 83837 until May 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Kellogg East - The re-grading of the soil around the site. The installation of a swale in between the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes and East Station Avenue. The swale will utilize the existing 36” culvert inlet allowing flow into the Coeur d’Alene River. Riprap will be installed around the culvert inlet. A 10’ gravel path will be installed just west of the swale to provide connection of Station Ave and the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. A gravel area will be installed just south of the swale for snow storage in the winter months. Government Gulch- The removal of the existing concrete ditch, the regrading of the area, and installation of the swale. The swale will utilize the existing ditch along the road. Riprap will be installed as armoring on slopes larger than 4% within the swale area. An alternative bid item is replacing a 60” culvert under an existing driveway. The project is located within the Bunker Hill Superfund Site. Subsurface soils are known to be contaminated by heavy metals that are associated with historic mining wastes.
