NORTH IDAHO: Time to stop growing

| April 20, 2025 1:00 AM

When do we get to vote on if this area is at maximum capacity? I’m not wanting to keep anybody out but if you haven’t noticed influx of apartment bldg after apartment bldg where green grass prairie was or pine trees that stood giving cover too what was our small local friendly cities (mostly gone). Maybe it’s the huge amount of time spent sitting in vehicle looking around at growth while trying to commute between Post Falls, Coeur d’Alene and Hayden that brings tears to my eyes.

Now before Hwy 41 Rathdrum to I-90 10-year plan is complete, I-90 widening is too start this summer & planning to witness Appleway and businesses get robbed and raped by the 90/95 interchange (maybe its 25 sets of signals jamming U.S. 95?) We take a vote on if the area is at max capacity? What law/right or statute says population must increase until every resource is over max? City leaders armed with master plans paid by tax dollars of the current residents and the ones most inconvenienced and stuck watching industries, big and small businesses shutter, aquifer pumped dry, river banks infested with homes local Idahoans can’t afford and told we must smile say its progress and say welcome any and all? Time to stop growing before North Idaho looks like WA or CA. It’s closer than you think and running full speed toward. NO NO NO another traffic circle is not the answer!
