North Idaho Family Practice to open in August in Post Falls
POST FALLS — A new health clinic that will accept new Medicare and Medicaid patients, called North Idaho Family Practice, is set to fully open in August.
Nicholas Bozarth, PA-C and owner of the new practice, explained that he believes NIFP will help fill a need for accessible medical care in the community.
“Idaho is one of the lowest ranked states in primary care provider to population ratio,” Bozarth said. “In addition to accepting new Medicare and Medicaid patients, our goal is to grow the clinic and begin recruiting additional physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to this area to help close that gap.”
Bozarth completed his physician assistant training at the University of Washington in 2015 and moved with his wife and children from Washington to North Idaho in 2021. He worked at Post Falls Family Medicine before joining the team at Hayden Lake Family Physicians, where he will finish his contract before moving full time to North Idaho Family Practice.
“This has been a dream of mine for many years,” Bozarth said. “Opening my own clinic allows me the ability to independently make business decisions that can fast-track resources and care for patients.”
The goal of NIFP, Bozarth added, is to provide individualized, respectful service that honors the medical decisions patients make for themselves.
In addition to accepting new Medicare and Medicaid patients, NIFP will also accept most major insurances and payment by cash. Patients will be able to self-schedule appointments online.
Bozarth is currently seeing patients at NIFP weekday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only. Beginning Aug. 6, the practice will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and closed on weekends.
“North Idaho is made up of hard-working, salt of the earth people and they deserve access to the best health care. We intend to provide that to them,” Bozarth said.
North Idaho Family Practice is located at 1101 E. Polston Ave. Suite B, Post Falls.
Patients will have the option to schedule online at NorthIdahoFP.com or by calling 208-747-1776. All ages are welcome.
