IMMIGRANTS: Fellow members of God’s family

| April 20, 2025 1:00 AM

Seeing Governor Little sing praises to the new law he is trying to pass on immigration; it makes my heart hurt for the immigrants and the way they are being unjustly treated.

The New Testament emphasizes treating foreigners with love and compassion, highlighting the importance of showing hospitality and seeing them as fellow members of God’s family, echoing the Old Testament’s call to care for the vulnerable.

The New Testament encourages Christians to show hospitality to strangers, recognizing that by doing so, they may be entertaining angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2. Jesus’ teachings, particularly in the parable of the Good Samaritan, emphasizing the importance of loving one’s neighbor, which includes foreigners and those who are different. Luke 10:25-37

Matthew 25:31-46

Jesus teaches “that what ever we do for the least of these,” we do for Him, and we will inherit eternal life, but those who do not do these things will go away into eternal punishment.

So, my friends, when Jesus comes, and you see Him face to face, is He going to see you as the good Samaritan, or will He see you as the one who left the stranger suffering on the road?

We have a choice… Stop listening to the hateful lies being spewed today on us about immigrants, or listen to our loving Savior, Jesus Christ, and love them.
