1. What exactly is "Eco-Wash" and what sets it apart from other similar products/services/companies?

At Eco-Wash, we specialize in softwashing, a gentle and effective cleaning method that's ideal for most exterior surfaces. Unlike traditional pressure washing, which can damage delicate surfaces, softwashing uses a combination of specialized cleaning solutions and low-pressure application to safely remove dirt, grime and contaminants. This approach allows us to deliver exceptional results without risking damage to your property. By following manufacturer standards for cleaning and implementing eco-friendly practices, our dedication to safety, effectiveness and customer satisfaction sets us apart from other exterior cleaning services. We take pride in our attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional results that leave a lasting impression.

2. How did you get your start in this industry?

With a background in high-end custom construction, I've always appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the beauty of our town. However, I knew my career path wouldn't stay in construction forever. I've always been drawn to entrepreneurship. About five years ago, I was in a transitional phase working for Rich Donohoe at Donohoe Construction, who provided me with the opportunity to start Eco-Wash while phasing out my employment with his company. After a couple months of preparation and part-time work with Rich, I was finally ready to take the leap of faith and fully commit to Eco-Wash LLC, beginning to build it into what it is today. His support during our early days was invaluable, and I will always be grateful for that. Growing up in North Idaho has shaped my approach to business and community involvement, and reinforced our commitment to delivering excellent, eco-friendly service that keeps our amazing community looking great. This year marks our fifth year in business, and we're proud to have established ourselves as a trusted provider of commercial and residential exterior cleaning services in the North Idaho area.

3. Why do you and your business partner conduct the yearly give-back projects?

We believe in giving back to our community and showing appreciation for those who make a difference. That's why for this year's #KootenaiClean project, we chose to provide a completely free softwashing and window cleaning service to the American Legion veterans organization in Post Falls. We're honored to support these local heroes and say thank you for their contributions to our community and country. It's a small way for us to give back and make a positive impact in our town and in the lives of those who have given so much.

4. What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I'm not sure if this counts, but I'm left-handed and right-footed...Who knows, maybe that's why I'm such a perfectionist with Eco-Wash!
Outside of work, I'm a family man who loves spending time with my wife and son. We enjoy hitting the trails in our RZR and exploring the beautiful scenery of North Idaho, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

5. Why should we want to care for the exteriors of our buildings - safety, aesthetics, pest control, something else?

Dirty exteriors can be more than just an eyesore – they can also pose health hazards and damage surfaces over time. Mold, mildew and other contaminants can spread to surrounding areas and even affect indoor air quality. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help prevent these issues, improve curb appeal and enhance property value. By investing in exterior cleaning services, you're not only protecting the well-being of yourself and your property but also contributing to the overall beauty and charm of our community.
