COEUR d’ALENE — The Vikings and Bulldogs split matches in mixed doubles and girls doubles in a draw at Coeur d’Alene High.
“It was a barn burner until the end of the last match,” Coeur d’Alene boys coach Corey DeLeonard said. “Four of the 12 matches went to super tiebreakers, with two of them going to each team. Sandpoint matches up well with us and we knew it would be a close one. I have enjoyed seeing their team improve over the past few years. Kent (Anderson) and his coaches do a great job. To me, it simply means that we have some very talented student athletes representing tennis in North Idaho. I am very happy with the way both teams played today.”
