It's almost Easter! Egg hunts start today
Easter is just a hop, skip and a jump away to Sunday.
To shell-ebrate, egg hunts and other Easter fun will be held across North Idaho starting today.
Today
• Egg hunt eggs-travaganza | 5:30-7:30 p.m., Generations Memory Care, 13400 N. Meyer Road, Rathdrum. Egg hunt for children 0-12. Photos with the Easter Bunny. Raffle baskets, family fun. Open to the public.
Saturday
• Egg Hunt at Real Life | 9 a.m., Coeur d'Alene High School, 5530 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene. On the football field, north gate entrance. All ages 0 to fifth grade are welcome. Easter worship service, 4 p.m. at church location, 1701 N. Fourth St.
• The Great Easter Egg Hunt | 9 a.m., Vanhoff's Garden Center, 1844 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. Third annual adult Easter egg hunt. The garden center will be transformed into a treasure trove of hidden Easter eggs packed with prizes, garden goodies, treats, gift cards and a golden egg with $100.
• Spring festival and Easter egg hunt | 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., New Leaf Nursery, 12655 N. Government Way, Hayden. Free festive activities, egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny.
• Free community Easter egg hunt | Majestic Park, 5400 W. Majestic Ave., Rathdrum. 10 to 10:30 a.m. for 7-9-year-olds and 10-12-year-olds; 11 to 11:30 a.m. for 4-6-year-olds and 3 and younger. Sponsored by the city of Rathdrum, American Legion Post 154 and Northwest Guardian Riders.
• Military Easter egg hunt | 10 a.m., Mountain Lakes Bible Church, 2215 N. Seventh St., Coeur d'Alene. Crafts, root beer floats. Military, veteran, retiree and Gold Star families welcome. Bring your own basket. Hosted by Idaho National Guard J9.
• Worley Easter egg hunt | 10 a.m., Worley City Park, 30000 S. Third St., Worley. Free admission for kids. Bring your own basket. Sponsored by Worley Fire.
• Annual Easter egg hunt | 10:30 a.m., Bayview Community Center gardens, 20298 E. Perimeter Road, Bayview. All are welcome. Sponsored by Bayview Chamber of Commerce.
• Easter block party | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Stardust Motel, 410 Pine St., Wallace. Photos with the Easter Bunny, non-candy egg surprises, face painting, game zone for kids, inflatable slide, kick darts, petting zoo, glow-in-the-dark egg hunting, live music, laser tag. Egg hunts on Stardust lawn: 11:15 a.m., ages 0-2; 11:45 a.m., ages 3-5; 12:15 p.m., ages 6-9; 12:40 p.m., ages 10-12. Donations of non-perishable foods will benefit the Wallace Food Bank.
• P-K Lions Easter parade and egg hunt | 11 a.m., BMX bike park, 203 N. Division St., Pinehurst. Parade at 11 a.m., signups from 10:30-11 a.m. Eat lunch with the Easter Bunny. $1 lunch includes hot dog, chips, a cookie and a drink. Egg hunt at 1 p.m. behind the Avista substation.
• Easter egg hunt | 11 a.m., Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. 5K microwalk for autism. Presented by The Village Bakery and Panhandle Autism Society.
• Easter egg hunt | 11 a.m., Spirit Lake City Park, 32352 Park Ave., Spirit Lake. Pre-K-aged kids will be at Spirit Lake Little Park, Fourth and Maine. Kindergarten through third grade will be on the west side of City Park. Fourth graders and older will be on the east side. Photos with the Easter Bunny. Hosted by the Spirit Lake Community Coalition.
• Easter egg hunt | Noon, the Vine Church, 9140 N. Reed Road, Hayden. For anyone with disabilities. Thousands of eggs will be hidden.
• Easter egg hunt | 12:30 p.m., Harrison City Park, 111 W. Harrison St., Harrison. All ages are welcome. Bring your own basket.
• Easter Egg Extravaganza | 1-2 p.m., Q'emiln Park, 12201 W. Parkway Drive, Post Falls. Pictures with the Easter Bunny. Bring your own basket. Egg hunt times: Toddlers, 1-1:10 p.m.; 3-4 years, 1:15-1:25 p.m.; 5-7 years, 1:30-1:40 p.m.; 8-11 years, 1:45-1:55 p.m.; special and mobility needs, 2-2:10 p.m.
• Egg hunts at Real Life | 1 and 3:30 p.m., Real Life Ministries, the Fields at Real Life, 1916 Charleville Road, Post Falls. Ages 0 to fifth grade are welcome. Easter worship service at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
• Museum of North Idaho Easter egg hunt | 1-4 p.m., 720 E. Young Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Egg hunts for kids 12 and younger. Popcorn, face painting, cotton candy. Museum admission will be half price for adults with kids, free for 12 and younger.
Easter Sunday
• Free community Easter egg hunt | 10:30 a.m. to noon, the River Church, 1687 E. Horsehaven Ave., Post Falls. Thousands of Easter eggs will be hidden. Raffles and prizes. Open to the public. Easter worship service 11 a.m.
