PREP TENNIS: Coeur d'Alene pushes past Lake City

COEUR d’ALENE — Coeur d’Alene won five of six matches in singles to top Lake City 8-4 in a dual on Tuesday. 

Boys matches were held at Coeur d’Alene High and girls matches at Lake City High.

“Our singles players stepped up and delivered some big wins for us in key matches,” Coeur d’Alene boys coach Corey DeLeonard said. “I am especially proud of the way all our girls played. They really solidified the overall victory for us. We still have areas to improve in our game to and we need to get to work because we have a lot of match play opportunities over the next week and a half leading into the Inland Empire Tournament.” 

Coeur d’Alene hosts Sandpoint on Thursday. 

Lake City travels to Post Falls on Friday.
