PREP SOFTBALL: Unbeaten Coeur d'Alene sweeps Lewiston
LEWISTON — Jenna Davenport hit a tie-breaking two-run double to trigger a six-run sixth inning in the second game, and the Coeur d’Alene Vikings remained undefeated with a 10-0, 12-8 sweep of the Lewiston Bengals in Inland Empire League play Tuesday at Airport Park.
Kyndal Bridge went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs in the second game for Coeur d’Alene (10-0, 8-0 IEL). Ollie Dudley was 3 for 4 with three RBIs.
Davenport went 5 for 8 on the day with six RBIs. Davenport and Ellie Henderson each drove in four runs in the opener.
Bridge was 5 for 9 with six RBIs on the day.
Lewiston is 6-10, 6-4.
Coeur d’Alene travels to second-place Lake City on Friday for an IEL doubleheader.

COEUR d’ALENE — Madeline Peterson pitched a two-hitter in the opener with six strikeouts, and the host Timberwolves went on to sweep the Trojans in IEL play for the second time in four days.
Layla Gugino homered in both games for Lake City (12-4-1, 10-1 IEL), and finished with seven RBIs on the day. Gugino hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning of the first game, and a grand slam in the fifth inning of the nightcap.
Brooklyn Caan hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning of the first game, and KaeLee Kolden went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, including a two-run triple in a five-run sixth.
Mariah Thomas went 3 for 4 with a two-run double for the T-Wolves in the second game.
Lexie McCarroll was 3 for 4 with two RBIs in the second game for Post Falls (2-8, 1-7).

Sophomore Jaiden Corbey hit three home runs on the day for Lakeland (6-7, 4-3 IEL). She hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning of the first game. In the second game, she hit a two-run homer in the third inning, a two-run double in the fourth and a solo homer in the fifth.
Corbey finished 6 for 7 with seven RBIs and six runs scored on the day.
Raygen Dutton homered and drove in four runs for Lakeland in the opener.

Jesi Kitchin hit a three-run triple in the sixth inning of the opener for Timberlake (9-2).
Jones fanned 11 in the second game.
Isabel Barry struck out 13 in the second game for Medical Lake (5-5).
"We had a rough day defensively, and need to adjust quicker offensively," Timberlake coach Casi Lupinacci said. "This week has been interesting with kids dealing with sickness and injury, so I’m hoping after this week we get back on the right track."
Timberlake plays host to Kellogg on Saturday in a doubleheader.
