April 7 

PINEHURST — Johnny Stovern shot 81, Easton Towne 84 for Kellogg, which won the team title by 21 strokes over Priest River on Monday to secure the team win at the Kellogg Invitational at Pinehurst Golf Course. 

Palmer Coleman of Priest River, last year’s state 3A champion, shot a 1-under-par 71 to earn the invite’s medalist honors. 

Brayden Buell of St. Maries was fourth individually with an 85. 

Bonners Ferry won the girls team title.

BONNERS FERRY — The Kellogg boys kept to their winning ways, grabbing another team title at the Bonners Ferry Invitational at Mirror Lake Golf Course on Thursday. 

Priest River senior Palmer Coleman shot a 2-under-par 70 to earn boys medalist honors. 

Timberlake junior Malia Miller won girls medalist honors with an 84 while Bonners Ferry won the girls with a 452.

KELLOGG — Shae Jones struck out 13, walked one and scattered three hits as the visiting Tigers beat the Wildcats in nonleague play at Kellogg Middle School. 

Prestyn Gardner, Emilia Landon, Sadie Green and Alannah Winland each drove in two runs for Timberlake. 

“We came out a little flat today — made some mental and physical errors,” Timberlake coach Casi Lupinacci said. “This young team is going to have some bumps along the way, but we need to learn from our mistakes and make adjustments. That being said, a win is a win.”
