SA Veteran celebrates 101st birthday at Lake City Center

COEUR d’ALENE — Still standing tall, WWII veteran Robert Douglas Gwin heralded in his 101st birthday with friends and family members Friday at the Lake City Center.
"I’ve been very fortunate," Gwin said.
Gwin had a knack for Morse code and became a high-speed radio operator in the Army Signal Corps.
Last year, Gwin received a proclamation for his 100th birthday for his service to the United States from the Idaho Senate.
