Post Falls finance department receives award

POST FALLS — The city of Post Falls has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association for its fiscal year 2025 budget. 

Budget documents assessed how well it serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communications device. The budget must be rated "proficient" in all four categories, including the 14 mandatory criteria within those categories, to qualify for the award. 

“This recognition reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in financial management,” said city administrator Shelly Enderud.
