NIC GOLF: Cardinal men finish runner-up in Kansas

NEWTON, Kan. — North Idaho College freshman Mason Barmingham finished tied for fourth in the Bethany College Classic on Tuesday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course, leading the Cardinal men to a runner-up finish out of nine teams.
Barmingham, who shot a 2-under-par 70 in the second round, closed out the tournament with a 1-over 73 on Tuesday, finishing the tournament with a 4-over 220.
NIC, ranked 10th in the NJCAA, finished with a 299-293—308.
Iowa Western, ranked 17th in the latest poll, won with a 292-296-292—880.
NIC competes next in the Region IX District Championship at The Olde Course in Loveland, Colo., on April 24-25.
