Family Promise of North Idaho hosts national CEO
COEUR d’ALENE — Family Promise of North Idaho recently received a visit from the organization’s national CEO, Cheryl Schuch.
The group operates out of the bottom floor of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church to assist families experiencing homelessness and help them achieve sustainable independence.
Schuch's visit offered opportunities to connect with other branches and the national arm of the organization to build partners, funding and advocates on a national level.
“Every area of what we do benefits when our overarching goal is to build community,” Executive Director Cindy Wood said.
The only other time the national Family Promise CEO visited Coeur d’Alene’s branch was 11 years ago.
Family Promise of North Idaho has been working to move from sheltering families to prevention and diversion practices to stabilize housing.
