Kaylee Peterson of Eagle, is launching a series of "Empty Chair Town Halls" across Idaho’s 1st Congressional District, including Coeur d'Alene.

Peterson is an Idaho native who ran for Congress in 2022 and 2024.

“People are hungry for leadership that listens and offers solutions,” Peterson said in a press release. “Our current congressman isn’t showing up, so we’re bringing an extra chair — one we’re keeping open until someone is willing to sit down and listen to the people.

The Coeur d’Alene Empty Chair Town Hall is scheduled 3 to 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library.

Attendees are encouraged to attend and talk about issues important to them.
