Coeur d’Alene police seek suspect in possible child enticement
Coeur d’Alene police are seeking a man who they said is a possible child enticement suspect.
The incident occurred Sunday morning in the Landings neighborhood, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, when an 11-year-old girl reported that an unknown man approached her while she was walking her dog on North Bedford Lane.
The man initially asked to pet the girl’s dog, police said, “before following her and making an inappropriate comment.”
“The situation escalated when he attempted to grab her arm, prompting the girl to run to a nearby home for safety,” a news release said. “The suspect then walked away in the opposite direction.”
Police said the man appeared to be in his late teens or 20s and was of average height and weight. He wore all black clothing, including a hat, sweatshirt, pants and dark shoes.
Anyone who may have seen this male or has any information is urged to reach out to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at 208-769-2320.
