PREP TRACK AND FIELD: Zack Cervi-Skinner finishes runner-up in 2-mile at Oregon Relays

EUGENE, Ore. — Coeur d’Alene High senior Zack Cervi-Skinner finished runner-up in the 2-mile run at the Oregon Relays, held Friday and Saturday at Hayward Field.
Cervi-Skinner, who signed with Wake Forest in December, finished in 9 minutes, 1.26 seconds. Viking senior Max Cervi-Skinner, who also signed with Wake Forest, was third in 9:01.35. Max Billett of Shorewood High in Shoreline, Wash., won in 8:59.55.
Zack Cervi-Skinner was third in the 3,000-meter run (8:28.84), followed by Max Cervi-Skinner in fifth (8:29.17). Ty Cirino of Central High in Independence, Ore., won in 8:28.46.
In the 3,200, Zack Cervi-Skinner was second (8:58.33) and Max Cervi-Skinner third (8:58.50). Billett won in 8:56.59.
Coeur d’Alene sophomore Wyatt Carr was eighth in the 1,500 (3:57.35) and 10th in the 1-mile (4:14.80). Bradley Avery of JSerra Catholic of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., won the 1,500 (3:54.36) and Kellen Williams of Jesuit High in Portland won the 1-mile in 4:09.96.
Coeur d’Alene senior Kyle Rohlinger finished eighth in the 2K steeplechase.
Rohlinger finished in 6 minutes, 18.67 seconds. Aidan Wendring of Central High won the event in 5:59.02.
Coeur d’Alene Charter junior Annabelle Carr was 16th out of 44 competitors in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 59.38 seconds. Coeur d’Alene Charter freshman Emmaline Carr was 23rd in 1:00.82. The event was won by Sophia Castaneda of Newberg (Ore.) in 54.16.
Coeur d’Alene Charter junior Helen Oyler was 17th in the 1-mile in 5:15.55. Cricket Phipps of North Eugene won in 5:04.48.
Bonners Ferry junior Hallie Hartman was fifth in the girls shot put with a throw of 11.94 meters.
Dittman wins pole vault
at Kamiah Invitational
KAMIAH — Kootenai sophomore Tyla Dittman won the girls pole vault with a mark of 9-feet at the Bob Squires Sports Complex.
The Kootenai boys 4x200 relay team of senior Ben Armas, sophomore Logan Wilcox and juniors Ashton Lewis and Mike Nyman were third in 1:41.44.
Logos of Moscow swept team titles.
