PREP TRACK AND FIELD: Locals compete in Oregon Relays in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — Kyle Rohlinger, a senior from Coeur d’Alene High, finished eighth in the 2K steeplechase at the Oregon Relays at Hayward Field on Friday. 

Rohlinger finished in 6 minutes, 18.67 seconds. Aidan Wendring of Central High in Independance, Ore., won the event in 5:59.02. 

Coeur d’Alene Charter junior Annabelle Carr was 16th out of 44 competitors in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 59.38 seconds. Coeur d’Alene Charter freshman Emmaline Carr was 23rd in 1:00.82. The event was won by Sophia Castaneda of Newberg, Ore., in 54.16. 

Coeur d’Alene Charter junior Helen Oyler was 17th in the 1-mile in 5:15.55. Cricket Phipps of North Eugene won in 5:04.48. 

The event concludes today in Eugene.
