POST FALLS — Art enthusiasts and community members alike are invited to celebrate the rich tapestry of Inland Northwest places with the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center at 5 tonight during the opening reception of the "Strut Your Stuff" art exhibit.

The JACC is in full celebration mode as it marks two decades of cultural engagement.

Festivities will begin with the art opening reception and will include an exhibit of JACC history spanning 20 years as a community resource supporting the arts.

The milestone festivities will continue with the 1920s-themed 20th anniversary gala May 15. Single tickets are $95 and can be purchased at thejacklincenter.org.

The "Strut Your Stuff" art exhibit and sale will remain open through May 24 during regular business hours, concerts and events at the JACC. Art by 16 local artists includes oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, alcohol inks, photography and watercolor paintings along with fabric pieces. This family-friendly community art event is free to attend.

The opening reception goes to 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

A free community art event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Visitors will have opportunities to see "Strut Your Stuff" and paint a small canvas with the theme, "The JACC Garden." Participants are encouraged to paint canvases for themselves and leave one for the gala anniversary celebration. Art supplies will be provided.

The JACC building at 405 N. William St., Post Falls dates from the late 1890s and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Plenty of free parking can be found in the JACC lot and on the surrounding streets.
