KEA's 'Green Summit' is Saturday

The Kootenai Environmental Alliance's second Green Summit is 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Coeur d'Alene.

It offers a workshop with speakers and breakout sessions aimed at exploring the local environmental status and discovering actionable solutions.

Presentations and discussions on sustainable food systems, renewable energy, aquifer protection, recycling and reducing your carbon footprint are scheduled.

Free coffee and pastries will be provided.

Tickets are $10.
