Spirit Lake Police seeking public's help in locating child's stolen bike

The Spirit Lake Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a birthday bike that was stolen from an 11-year-old.

The bike was reportedly taken from outside the Family Dollar store on West Van Buren Street about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, according to SLPD. 

The bike is gray and is a BMX-style bike with child dimensions by the brand Mongoose. 

The child received the bike as a birthday gift just two weeks ago, the post said. 

Anyone with information that may help with locating the bike is encouraged to contact SLPD at 208-623-2701 and reference case number 25-SL1413.
