PROTESTS: What is the goal of being disruptive?
I need to address the Democrats’ happy memories of the ‘60s and ‘70s protests. I was in Silicon Valley, and I remember those protests. I remember roads and bridges being blocked by protesters so people had trouble getting to work or shopping. I remember the bomb that was set off in the office building where I worked. I remember, vividly, when protesters blew up the power station two blocks from my house at 2 a.m. Those protesters were bullies. I was in Ohio and remember the union thugs threatening my neighbor if he tried to go back to work during a strike at the auto plant. He had five children to feed but that didn’t matter, the union getting what they wanted was all that mattered.
What is your goal in being disruptive? Voicing your hate, making other people uncomfortable so they’ll vote for Democrats in the next election. You don’t make friends that way. I think it would be more productive tell people who you are, what you stand for, what changes you’ll make.
I don’t understand how you can be against saving taxpayers money. I don’t understand how you can be against the United States getting out of other countries’ business.
I would love to meet for coffee, get acquainted, try to understand what we have in common. Let me know, I am anxious to have that conversation!
