A local protest of the policies of President Donald Trump is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. 95 and Appleway Avenue.
Billed as “Hands Off! — North Idaho Fights Back," the event joins national protests across the country.
"We uphold Idaho’s traditional values, which include respect for democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law," according to a press release. "We are exercising our First Amendment right to freedom of speech to defend the democracy that the men and women of our armed forces fought and died to protect."
It also says, "Donald Trump is not a king."
"We will not stand by while Trump dismantles our government," the release said.
Anyone is welcome to join the protest.
