CHURCHES: Follow in footsteps of Founding Fathers

| April 2, 2025 1:00 AM

I think it is worth noting that a great number of our Founding Fathers who were pastors of Christian churches did not think it political to frame the Constitution and sign the Declaration of Independence. They did not think it political to support Judeo Christian ethics in any of the three branches of government or within cultural institutions. When was it that Christian pastors in America excused themselves from maintaining support for Judeo Christian values in the public square and culture because they believed “the Church” should not be political. Is there a correlation between the exponential erosion of our traditional values and the failure of “the church” to follow in the footsteps of our Founding Fathers. What system of beliefs has filled the vacuum because it has no such restraint when it comes to being political.

I never thought I would see the day when our public schools and libraries would be saturated with obscene pornography. I am profoundly heartsick that “the church” chooses to ignore what has happened and its failure to warn its congregations of this deadly danger to their children. We are admonished from the pulpits to take the message of the cross to the world. Should not the pulpits also carry resounding alarms of imminent danger to our children. What beast is this that is “Slouching Towards Bethlehem?”
