PROP 1: Party crashers

| September 29, 2024 1:00 AM

When the party of “inclusivity” wants to force themselves into your primary, that’s cause for pause. What could be the real motive of Democrats wanting to vote in Republican primaries? Here’s a conclusion:

LITERAL party crashing. Party crashers who show up with what may seem like a “gift” of a bottle of booze are most likely going to wreck the place, alienate your guests, and probably barf on someone’s shoes.

Don’t invite mayhem to your party and expect a good time.

Prop 1 states: “Candidates could list any affiliation on the ballot … and need not be associated with the Party they name.” So, Democrats could call themselves Republicans.  Imagine hosting a party at your home and strangers pretend to be your friends. It’s a huge risk to allow them inside. Also, Prop 1 will allow Democrats to wreak havoc on Republican primaries by elevating non-Republicans. Would you let your neighbors who have significant opposition to your beliefs and preferences select your party’s guests of honor? No. It’d be inviting disappointment and likely a disastrous outcome.

Prop 1 also contains Ranked Choice Voting wherein your vote can be “exhausted” if you don’t pick the top-ranked candidate — meaning your vote is DISCARDED. What’s “inclusive” about that?

Lastly, this new voting system has an enormous price tag: up to $40 million for new hardware and software (per Secretary of State Phil McGrane, July 2024). That price tag doesn’t include the costs to re-educate voters on this complicated and messy method.  With these gargantuan expenditures, there’s nothing worth celebrating.

Send the Prop 1 party crashers packing before they ruin your soiree. Vote NO.
