Milestone Announcement
ANNIVERSARY
Dick and Judy Gardner
65th Anniversary
Carlyne, Judy's sister, introduced Dick and Judy at the San Jose Grey Hound bus station Sept. 15, 1957. They were married Sept. 19, 1959!
After their wedding, they lived in San Bernardino, Calif. They had three children; Debbie, David and Beth.
Dick worked in sales: self-employed for five years in a candy distribution business; 20 years with McCormick spices and 10 years with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
Judy worked in the insurance industry for three years, then was a stay-at-home mom for nine years when the kids were little and then worked full-time in the insurance industry becoming a commercial insurance underwriter.
They both retired in January 2000 and fulfilled a longtime dream and moved to Coeur d'Alene in December 2022! Dick continued to be active in the Elk organization as he was in San Bernardino. Judy joined the 3Cs, Cancer & Community Charities and became very active.
They celebrated their 65th anniversary with our kids and their spouses this past July. Debbie and Greg Mayer came from Northern California; David and Carolyn Gardner came from Charleston, S.C., and Beth and Jack Franchi came from Pitman, N.J. The 10 grandkids and three great-grandkids did not come to this celebration.
They are looking forward to the next five years to their 70th anniversary.
